About Irene Epshteyn, MD
Dr. Irene Epshteyn is a board-certified psychiatrist who works with adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and issues related to women’s mental health.
She completed her residency training in psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and has been in practice since 2018. Over the course of her career, she has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of clinical concerns, developing a depth of experience in treating complex mood and anxiety conditions.
Dr. Epshteyn’s clinical work is informed by several therapeutic traditions, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and schema-informed perspectives. She also maintains a strong interest in the growing field of nutritional and metabolic influences on mental health, and in how lifestyle and physiological factors can support emotional wellbeing alongside psychotherapy and medication when appropriate.
